Be an Assistant
Our community welcomes men and women who choose to come and live in the community and create homes with the people who have disabilities and with the other assistants.
Four core persons (people with disabilities) live in each of our homes. As an assistant you will be part of a team. Teams take time together each week for planning and sharing in order to build supportive relationships which ultimately “carry” the house.
Assistants accompany our core people in their daily activities and at home. Some assistants choose to live in the home; others live out.
In addition to a fulfilling, life-giving experience, we offer a great benefit package. Not only can you save your earnings by living in a home, but our participation in AmeriCorps allows you to accrue up to $9,450 to apply to your future education or current educational loans.
